Key Technique Points
Hand Position
Hands stay in line with eyes and nose. Focus on pulling toward them.
Contract your shoulder blades to get a bigger range of motion. And feel that squeeze.
Shoulder Rotation
As you drive your hand towards your face, rotate shoulders up at the top.
This will aid with the the squeeze.
And also strengthens your rotator cuffs. For a solid shoulder girdle.
Taking it to an Advanced Level
Stretch the shoulders out at the bottom for a bigger range of motion.
The key is not to lose tension but go from squeezing to stretching to squeezing.
Stick with small ranges of motion at a beginner level.
Until maintaining tension through good technique becomes habit.
