How many press-ups can you do?
Me? About 8.
There’s a massive ‘effective difference’ in how people exercise to transform their bodies.
It comes down to two directions:
#1 movement-centric technique (99% of people)
#2 muscle-centric technique (1% of people. This is us!)
The movement-centric folk believe they MUST use a gym and weights to build lean muscle and transform their body.
I used to be in that camp.
I was the vest-wearing ‘gym bro’ who let his ego lead.
My favourite example to demonstrate these two techniques is with a push-up.
You can try this right now if you wish.
I say to people:
“Show me how many push-ups you can do.”
They’ll drop down and start blasting them out super fast and normally get up to 15. If not more.
That’s movement-centric technique.
Mindlessly pushing up and down without thinking about the muscle or the movement.
Then I say to them:
“Ok, now show me how many push-ups you can do, but this time I want you to constantly push your hands together against the floor up and down.
Try and fold the floor.”
I don’t tell them to slow down, change their mindset, or do anything else.
Just this one action.
They can normally do 5 before dropping to the floor exhausted.
That’s ‘muscle-centric technique.‘
When you press up and down without thinking about it…
The weight is distributed across the front of your shoulders, triceps, chest, biceps, even back.
Multiple muscles share the load.
It’s easier.
When you push your hands together… You isolate the chest muscle.
Taking the load away from the triceps and shoulders, and placing the majority onto your chest muscle.
One muscle handling the majority of load under constant tension…
It struggles.
Which creates a bigger muscle growth stimulus.
People spend their entire lives doing ‘movement-centric’ technique. Wondering why they rarely see any progression with their body.
These same techniques apply to using your body weight with a suspension trainer.
Isolate muscle areas with the right technique using it, and you’ll build lean muscle and transform your body.
When you then incorporate your mind-muscle connection too, BOOM!
That’s how fast body transformation results are achieved.
If you’re ready to do just that, it starts with the “Total Body Transformation Program:”
