Here’s a throwback: back in 2015, I was constantly lifting heavy, driven by ego, jumping from one diet fad to another…
No, I did not lift it from the ground. And look at that face.
It was all about quick fixes—each new plan was supposed to be “the one.”
This cycle led to injuries, burnout, and frustration.
As a personal trainer, I felt like I should’ve known better, but I was stuck in the belief that I had to be in a gym with weights to get results.
Then, I came across a statement that changed everything:
“Your muscle doesn’t know where it is or what it’s holding—all it knows is the tension you place on it through a range of motion.”
I realized that everything I thought I knew was based on a limiting belief.
So I took a leap and left the gym behind, determined to find a way to build lean muscle with bodyweight alone.
Leaving the gym changed me.
I went from thinking I “knew it all” to becoming a learner again.
I dove into research, mentorships, and began a journey that focused on mind-muscle connection.
My workouts transformed from ego-driven sessions to meditative practices.
Using a TRX suspension trainer at home, I applied muscle-centric techniques and optimized my nutrition to improve my insulin sensitivity and boost my metabolic flexibility.
The results?
I built more lean muscle and functional strength than ever, my mental well-being improved, and for the first time, my workouts felt sustainable.
