What is the FIRST thing you do each day?
Do you nail a coffee?
Or hit the toast and jam?
Maybe you grab an on-the-go bar as you rush out the door.
If you’re doing any of the above, STOP it.
Your first nutrition intake sets how you perform for the rest of your day.
Focus on priming your body for a high-performance day.
And that starts with your gut health.
Your gut is your second brain.
You need to treat it so.
If you feel lethargic by afternoon.
Or struggle with brain fog and focused productivity.
It’s because you’re not starting your day right.
Here’s how my day begins.
I wake up, clean and floss my teeth.
This action is the MOST IMPORTANT.
When you sleep, bad bacteria build up in your mouth.
If you drink or eat without cleaning your teeth, you wash that bad bacteria down into your gut.
This affects your good bacteria.
Which means your gut (second brain) can’t perform as well.
I then drink drink a pint of water with the following:
- Squeeze of lemon
- Dash of electrolyte powder
- Pinch of Himalayan salt
- Slice of raw root ginger
- Probiotic
The lemon helps to detoxify the body and regulate gut PH levels (good bacteria works best at optimal PH levels)
The electrolyte powder helps boost rehydration.
The pinch of Himalayan salts feeds the body with essential minerals.
The slice of raw ginger helps with digestion for the day.
The probiotic helps boost the good bacteria army for digestion, feel good mood, and sustained energy levels.
This simple morning routine is comprised of tiny actions that have a BIG effect on your body.
If your gut isn’t primed to start the day well, here’s what you can expect:
- Bloating
- Digestion pains
- Increased fat gain
- Struggle to build muscle
- Irritability
- Energy crashes
- Gas
- Low Mood
Yep, that’s how powerful your gut is.
