When I first started using a suspension trainer, it was 2016 and I was living in Tulum, Mexico.

Not on the coast, but in the little town among the locals.

Everything gets very dusty.

I would workout with the suspension trainer straps over the front door…

Now, imagine that floor with a layer of daily dust on it.

Every suspension trainer exercise would turn into a water skiing session…

With my feet sliding towards the front door ready to face plant into it.

It made it hard to lock my body in stone and focus on the muscle I wanted to target.

The second challenge I discovered was tracking feet positioning. So I could make sure I was standing at the same spot each workout.

I began marking my feet positioning with chalk, but it washed away.

There are also standing point lines and feet position markers with numbers…

Which means you can record the same spot each time you perform an exercise.

For me being a data nerd, this allowed me to track load, intensity, and volume, against feet positioning…

It was a real game-changer.

Because I could now track my progression in terms of stance and angle.
