Let’s go tactical for a second.
Here’s something you can try RIGHT NOW that’ll completely change how you think about building muscle with a suspension trainer.
(Or bodyweight, or anything really).
Takes 30 seconds. No equipment needed.
Ready?
Do as many push-ups as you can, as fast as you can. Count them.
Now rest 2 minutes.
Do push-ups again…
But this time, push your hands together against the floor throughout the entire movement.
Like you’re trying to fold the floor in half.
Go slow. Take at least 4 seconds to do one push-up
Count them.
I guarantee you did WAY fewer on the second set.
Most people go from 15+ reps down to 4-8 reps.
Same exercise.
Massive difference.
Why?
When you mindlessly bang out push-ups, the load is shared across your chest, shoulders, triceps, biceps, and even your back.
Multiple muscles = easier movement = weak muscle-building stimulus.
But when you push your hands together and squeeze, you isolate your chest muscle a lot more.
Now it has to handle the majority of the load by itself.
One muscle taking all the weight = much harder = powerful growth stimulus.
It’s deceptively simple.
But it works because this is how muscles actually grow.
From isolated tension under load, not from mindless movement.
I’ve seen this one little shift lead to people finally building visible muscle definition after months (sometimes years) of spinning their wheels.
The real point?
You don’t always need heavier weights or more reps.
Sometimes you just need to focus on the muscle that matters, and make it work harder.
That’s what my whole Muscle-Centric Suspension Training approach is about:
→ Doing less mindless movement
→ Doubling down on what actually builds muscle
If this one tip opened your eyes?…
Try it for every exercise, every rep, in your next suspension trainer workout.
I can’t teach you the effective exercise techniques in an email, but I can tell you that if you:
- Slow right down, take 6 seconds per rep…
- Focus your mind entirely on the muscle you are targeting…
- Squeeze that muscle as hard as you can non-stop throughout the entire movement and set…
…your lean muscle gains will be faster, easier, safer, and meditative.
